Whereabouts are you?
According to www.audi.co.uk, Ebony is available on the S4 in the UK, so
I don't know why you can't get it.

I'm in Los Angeles.
Funnily enough, I first saw the S4 in Ebony at the showroom on Piccadilly.
Now I want one in the US!

Odd that they don't do it over there.
My A3 is Ebony, and it *is* a lovely colour.

When I bought my A4 in 2002, my sales rep said that any color offered
anywhere in the world could be ordered on a US model, it'd just cost
extra (better find out how much before you get too excited!) and have
to be ordered from the factory, thus you'd have at least three months
lead time (plus however many orders are ahead in the pipeline) She
said it was rarely done, but she'd done it for a couple customers with
A6 and A8 orders.
If your sales rep can't do this, maybe you should shop around a bit and
find one who has been around Audi a bit longer and knows the ins and outs.

My car had to be built to order at the factory, under which
circumstances I don't see why they can't paint it any colour you like,
regardless of where the car is being shipped.
