Possible oil/transm leak also Plexiglass tip
Audi Drivers-
I'm pretty new to this forum. I recently purchased my '04, A4 1.8 about a month ago. It's an excellent car and it drives well but recently i've been noticing an oil patch left on my driveway. It leaves a reddish brown stain. I was thinking it may be oil but i have a feeling it's transmission fluid. B/c my oil level has always been ok. When I took the car back to the dlr, they said i was crazy and there was no leak. I'm taking it to my own mechanic to see where the leak is coming from on Friday. Any suggestions? Is this a common problem??
TIP: When I first got the car i messed up the plexiglass behind the steering wheel using a cheaper version of windex....it created a haze and looked like the plastic was ruined permanently. i then picked up meguires fog light cleaner at cdn tire and it's back to normal...just a tip for you guys who may make the same dumb mistake as me.
Thanks

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
Thanks Drumshard - I haven't thought about rad fluid leak. - I'll have the mechanic check the water pump as well. It was an oily consistancy...first I thot it was condensation but it was oily and leaves a big oil stain.
Thanks again. If anyone else has any idea what it could be please let me know.
Any tricks on washing - for inside or outside? I heard using the detergent woolite with water and a shammy. Anything for cleaning the leather and dash? ArmorAll gives me a headache.
Thanks

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi
Very informative 1move, any idea where i can find bluetooth integration for A8 and cradle or the original V60 Motorola setup, outside of the dealer. Also can you close the trunk lid other than manual and/or the button at the trunk lid.

as far as the trunk I think you are asking weather you can shut it electronicaly? I have not seen this on an Audi yet so my answer would be no as far as my knowledge goes in that region
