What year did the body styles change?

Re: What year did the body styles change?
C5 came to North American shores in 1998, but only with the 2.8 engine, which isn't a lot of fun.
The 2.7T and 4.2 engines came about in 2000, with a 'face lift' following two years later in 2002.
Updated tail lights and exhaust which exits through the rear bumper (instead of being hidden behind the rear bumper) are the only real changes.

Our post facelift '02 C5 A6 is not a 4.2 and it is not a widebody... wish it was because widebody looks awesome!
Also pre facelift rear tail lights are all red, post facelift have orange in the turn signal area of the lense and both have white lense for reverse bulbs.
