Audi C6 4.2L exhaust
I ordered some magnaflow mufflers and tips to fit the car, Now I'm not sure what exactly to do in terms of piping.
Should I go all the way to the cat and delete all resonators? I want a nice deep tone with that V8 pop noise. Is the pop noise healthy? I think I read somewhere that deleting the resonators gives more of the popping noise.
Anyone done custom exhausts on this car that can give some good advice?

best to go to an exhaust shop and get them to give you their opinion. Id throw them on first and see how it sounds. If you need it louder then remove the resonators. Do it little by little till you get the sound you like.

i agree with the little by little idea. Remember your neighborg! Don't remove oxygen sensor. And check before doing anything if you have trouble code. To know if the code happen before or after the muffler change.

i have the c5 4.2 i did cat back with magnaflow. I love the sound. I also did delete the resonator but I would leave them on first as well if you want it a little louder then remove them
