2005 A6 4.2 air filter plug
I was changing my air filter last night--actually replacing the paper filter with a high flow K&N (E0778 ).
When I removed the original filter I noticed there was a blue plastic plug lying in the bottom of the tray. Looks like a big plastic nail with a very narrow hole down the middle. About 1.5 inches long.
Any ideas about where this "plug" is supposed to go?
