So my MIL on my 00' a6 has been coming on and off... I've booked an appointment with glenmore audi here in calgary to get it checked out (among some other things), but they're booked up and so the date i have is on the 22nd. I know it could be something as harmless as a malfunctioning sensor, but ideally, I'd like to get the MIL checked out before the 22nd. Does anyone know of any other places in calgary where I can get it checked out and how much that would be?

Find someone local - non dealer - who has VAG COM and they could scan the car for you - usually for free?? I am sure there is someone with an Audi that may have it!!

I had a similar issue. The Glenmore guy told me not to panic unless the light starts flashing. If that happens bring it in ASAP and they will find space for you. My went off shortly after.

I know Concept One or Tunerworks will have the hardware to check that out.

Any generic scanner will give you the basic codes, it won't tell you exactly the problem like the VAG-COM but it will give you a pretty good idea. 1996 and newer is OBD-2 compliant.
