Default No power to rear passenger door

On the right rear side, the window doesn't go up or down - with either the door switch, driver's switch and the key in the drivers door. The door lights (all three) and the footwell light don't work either. When in drive and the right rear door is open, it does not show as open on the dashboard display.

The power locks work and so does the speaker.

The only weird thing that I encountered was the footwell light - the bulb was blown, however, I couldn't locate the wiring/connector after I disconnected it.

I removed the door panel, to check the wires and connections and they seem okay. I disconnected them and plugged them back in firmly.

I've checked all of the fuses and they are all okay.

It's a 2001 C5 A6 Avant 2.8.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you noticed any dampness inside the vehicle? There have been instances where the cabin filter housing leaks water into the inside of the cabin behind the glovebox and damaging internal electrical equipment. How did you go about checking all the electrical connectors? Did you use a voltage tester? If you're referring to the bulb under the seat the wiring is located underneathe the front seat.

I haven't noticed any dampness. I'll check it though.

I only did a visual inspection of the wiring. I unplugged, checked the connectors and plugged it back in. I guess my next step is to use a voltmeter, however, I'm not sure where to start because I'm unsure of the wiring layout. Is there something available online with the wiring diagram?

With regard to the light under the seat, I understand where the connector is, but I couldn't find the other end with the connector to the bulb. I'll trace it again tomorrow and let you know!

Thanks again.

I have the Bentley Manual on DVD so I'll see if I can find a wiring diagram for you. I don't know off hand exactly what the voltage should read when you use a voltage tester but you should receive something. If not there the problem lies further ahead of the connectors you're putting the voltage tester to.

Let me see what I can dig up and I'll let you know...

Fixed the window problem - it was a severed wire. The other problem is the door switch which I'm going to tackle next!
