Chip/Tuning - 4.2L
Hi Everyone,
I've got an '03 A6 4.2L and would like to know what mods are available for my car, or better yet what would you guys say is the first thing to do other than tires/wheels? I was thinking of reprogamming the ECU or chipping it?? any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also are there any good tuning shops that are reasonably priced in Missisauga or close by?
Thanks again..

exhaust and chip. i have an mtm exhaust and mtm chip for my s6 with the 4.2. sounds good. a bit of more power. if you want to do alot of mods, the 4.2 is not the car...also look into suspension. i bought mine with bilstein pss9's and the car feels like a go-cart.

you can also get a new air filter, such as K&N air filters, which i still need to do, wont give too much performance, but every little bit helps, I talked to some guy at Crappy Tire, he said that there is another company that makes similar filters that may last longer, also you'll need to buy a cleaning kit for it too, not right away because the filter comes pre lubed, but when you need to clean it down the road, you buy it.

Well i have read up on K&N website that they haven't encountered problems like having sensors clog up.
But it is stated that when you apply it yourself, you have to be careful as to how much you spray onto the filter, which can possible cause problems, nothing is fool proof.
There is another company that has the same type of filters too, but i forgot the name of the brand
