Yup, just the piping
I know a couple of excellent TIG specialists in the area, but suggestions are also welcome
The best thing is that I can now set the pace at which this project gets completed, I hate having to wait on others, I much prefer to be the master of my own destiny
This is really most likely for the best

Picked it up yesterday, time to get to work on it
I really want to have this car moving this summer
The good news is that I have the car at my house, so sneaking in a couple more small jobs on it should be easier

Got to work today
Pulled the motor and changed out the clutch to my new VAST stage 4
Got the motor back in and the front buttoned up, ready for fabrication once I get some materials on Monday
Tomorrows plan is for a complete, and I mean compete suspension swap out.....Coilovers, control arms (upper and lower, front and rear), sway bars
Pics of the day, also test fitted my new Work wheels
New clutch installed, exhaust manifolds on tight
Manifolds

Re: C5 A6, 3L BAMFT Build Thread
Thanks Noops, this project will be under way again this week. After a very disappointing winter and minimal progress through last summer, the mock engine and trans as well as headers and downpipe are heading to Trillion Industries this week.
Derrick Pauletto will be finishing the up-pipes and wastegate dumps, this week he will be taking all the parts I have, as well as the motor/trans, next month he will need the car on site for final finishing welds and fitting. Hopefully the exhaust work will be done mid January.
The quest for the right set of wheels is still on, the Work VS-MX wheels did not fit over the RS4 brakes, so they found a new home on my allroad. OEM Porche hollow twists were also tried, but also did not fit over the brakes, so 19" is my only option, hoping for something concave, eying up the new Klutch concaves.

I think you're in much better hands with Derek. I'm in Calgary fairly regularly, so let me know if you need a hand dropping in an engine/tranny, or with whatever else!
Exactly which brakes do you have that you need 19s? B7 RS4 setup? I have 340mm Wilwoods and 17" Ultraleggeras fit over them with plenty of room to spare.

You got it, B7 RS4, calipers are huge, currently I have 365mm, but may swap up to 380mm.
I too think that I will be in good hands with Derek, he seems down to earth and honest.
If I need a hand, I know where to find you
