Hi I just bought a audi a6 automatic that was in a accident. Problem is car wont crank so I bypassed the control and ran a wire from starter solinoide to battery now I got car going but gearbox very slugish . I contacted the previouse owner and she said car was riding fine after accident and then after trying to start car next morning no luck. Is it the computer box or gearbox ,the display on dash does display all gears but not the gear I move the stick to small marks on bottom off gearbox thats it and all the plugs r in place ,also is there a fuse for gearbox chees Clyde

That's because the transmission controller is in limp mode. You need a scan tool to determine the faults and repair them. You'll also need a schematic of that system.
