Activate car radio/stereo

Activate car radio/stereo
hi Guys,
Can anyone help activate my radio stereo? I had new battery installed and did the instruction to activate the radio by entering the code. I had entered a wrong code at first try, so I waited for an hour to re-enter again as per the instruction. But when I tried my next attempt the word "SAFE" do not change to "1000" whenever I press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons. Thereafter whenever I try again it gives the same problem. Is there anyone who can help with my problem? Thanks in advance, I appreciate it much.
