Hi, I am planning to change my AT Fluid and Filter, and was wondering if anyone could help me with the following questions:

Audi A6 2000 2.7T Automatic Transmission

1. How often should the AT fluid be changed?
2. What type of fluid is recommended?
3. How many liters will I need?
4. How complicated is the job?
5. Is there any other tips or tricks that I should know about when getting the job done?

All of these are great questions.
There are so many options here that there are no 2 people to agree upon them.

Your best bet is to do some research here and on other forums the get the basic knowledge and real taste of the discussions involved.
(Some special tools will be required).
You could start your quest with dealers as some time they could surprise you in a positive way.

Simple answer because 99.9 % of owners shouldn't touch these ZF transmissions.
Fluid is advertised as "life time" < propaganda Do it at 50K
Fluid should be the version sold through the Audi dealer as the synthetic type
Complicated to remove all of it
