Hi everyone.

I've been checking out the forum and have a question about window tinting. I am getting my 2012 A4 SLine next week and want to tint the windows. I am debating between 35% and 20%. Looking at pictures online is hard to get a good judge for the darkness. I'm leaning towards the 20% but don't want to have a hassle with cops or any problems driving at night.

Just wanted to see what everyone on here thinks would look good with the Brilliant Black.

i did 20 in the rears and 35 on the fronts. looks good and no hassles

I did 25% on the rears and 35% in the fronts on the same colour. Ive had 20% on past cars with no hassles. Pics in this thread:

I did the same 35 on front and 20 on the rear .I went to a place in Scarborough at 6505 Kingston rd Auto tint Centre and they did a perfect job .I have had all my cars done there

Thanks everyone for your imput. It looks like 35/20 is what I'm going to go with.
Now here's another question: Is the difference between the front and back that noticable or does it look weird?

20 all around is fine. 35 is barely tinted

Some people like the classy look of having 20% or 35% all around. the 35% front and 20% rear looks great. Im actually on the same boat on considering what % to use for front and back, but Vancouver cops are really strict for front tints..sighh.

anyone have any pics of a 35% all around on a white A4? I'm leaning this way because I think it looks cleaner. darker in the back on a white car makes me think too limousine... Also, do you tint the front windshield or leave it?

Oh, I've also only heard good things about John at Auto Tint in scarborough. There's currently a group buy on and I'm taking mine in next week. 270 for the Pinnacle tint for a 4 door, or 170 for the classic tint. Go in and mention the RedFlagDeals groupbuy if you're interested.

You will barely notice the difference and as you see in the pics of my white one it looks nice and clean .As for the windshield you do not touch it ,as for tint shops Auto Tint Center who did mine with the best tint for under 200 ,and I have never had a problem and thier work is near as perfect as you can get but I say you go where you feel comfortable .If you want to go to my tint shop tell him the guy with the white A4 sent you he will give you a great deal and they take pride in thier work and they stant behind it
