Second hand car and Warrenty
Hi Guys!
Here's my story!
I recently take over a lease from somebody in Ontario, despite some rock chips, I'm really pleased with my 2011A4 S-Line and I really plan to buy it at the end f the lease in 16 months.
The guys was not doing his maintenance at the dealership, therefore, when I look at the service record at the Audi dealer, there was practically nothing other than small recalls.
I trusted him when he told me he did all the scheduled maintenance, and he told me he would ship me the receipt. As a young, exited but mostly stupid buyer, I trusted him.
However, its been two months so far, and no news from him, and he doesn't reply/answer to my emails/calls.
My car has 46,000KM, therefore, if I look at the maintenance schedule, he should have done 3 maintenance, 8,000KM, 25,000KM and 40,000KM.
I do have the receipt of the 8,000KM (was still in the car), however, there's a big chance that I'll never have the 25K and 40K....
What does that mean for my warrenty? Is it possible for me to bring it at the dealer and king of re-approving my car?
Btw, don't tell me I'm stupid! I KNOW THAT :P! I'm just looking for a solution.
Thanks,
Dom

Re: Second hand car and Warrenty
My suggestion would be to take it to your dealer, ask them to check if was sold with Audi Care and then ask them to check things and/or do your 40000 km service. As you plan to keep the car, get a maintenance schedule put in place just for your own peace of mind.
