Default Paint Pen (for rock chip)

Well, I knew the time would come. My 2009 A4 has a rock chip that I need to touch up. Where in Ottawa is the best place to get a paint pen to touch it up? Or would you not recommend using a paint pen?

I've read bad reviews about automotivetouchup.com and other online sites.

Any recommendations on where/and how to touch it up?

Thx all.

Audi of the area. They have those things + clear coat for $17. And the paint codes are perfectly matched, obviously.

From where? 3M one?

But in the meantime, I still have to fix the rock chip... just wondering where the best place to get it is.

Here's what you should do:

1) Contact Lisa Mrak at Mark Motors (Hunt Club) and ask her to add you to the Audi enthusiast group list
2) Buy the touch pen from them and request your Audi group discount (15%)
3) Contact Goldwing and ask for the pricing for a clear bra - they did mine and I've received a few compliments on how well it was done.
4) Join our local yahoo group (AudiOttawa) and feel free to pipe in when you want and/or come out to one of out meets

Cheers !

Steve

Hey Steve,

Did you get the 3M Bra just on the front portion of the hood? Did you do the entire front bumper as well? I'm debating about whether or not to do the bumper, not sure how it will look....

thanks!

@Steve

Thanks for the info. Do you have a picture of your Audi with the clear bra on? I am worried it will be too visible.

thx
James

NP ! Always happy to post some pics although dont have any close ups. Coverage is the entire front and incl the front of the hood and front portion of the fenders. If you'd like to meet up to see it, that's cool too ...

BTW, my S4 Avant (Deep Sea Blue Pearl) also had it and when clean it was invisible.

Hey Steve,

It looks amazing on the TT but you're right, it's pretty noticable on the bumper on a black car (after a car wash, does it basically appear clear?) If you had to do it again, would you still do the bumper?

Thanks again!
