Someone with a vag-com!? WTF? That either sounds like some kind of STD or a new cellphone device that really is handsfree!

It is difficult to see the signal with the LED's on, like I said a safety feature.
Now you are gonna say how come they do it in Europe, well the European road test and to get your licence is far more superior the one in North America. Lets face it you got face you get a licence. Might as well start printing them on cereal boxes

lol I just finished saying it is easy to see but that is my opinion.

Re: Newby issue with turn signals and LED daytime lights
That would throw me for a loop if my headlight went out when the turn signal was on... sounds like a design after-thought to disable a bad design. Not that the LEDs look bad, but this seems like a work-around.

Umm...the headlight doesn't go out. As the post say's, the LED DRL turns off during the daytime to accentuate the turn signal. You can program them to just dim instead, similar to non NA Audi's. This is one of those DOT requirements for the US.

I couldn't find an answer to this in the manual. I have a new A4 with the eyebrow LED daytime running lights. If I turn left or right, and the signal lights are flashing on that side, the LED lights go out on that side. People tell me a headlight is out, but it's only until the signals go off. Never seen this before on a vehicle. Normal on Audi or do I have an issue? Thanks for help on this before I go back to the dealer.
Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards: 108.(56) says:
"A daytime running lamp that is optically combined with a turn signal lamp shall switch off while the turn signal lamp is switched on as a turn signal or as a hazard warning signal."

I found a DIY guy actually charging $50 for both keeping LED light on and also programme the remote to open and close windows, moonroof remotely.
try kijiji toronto, put "VAG code" and u will find this guy... I was told it is a very quick job, like few minutes only.

You do know that most of the guys on here (like I posted in your other thread) do it for free or a case of beer, which is $20 at most! This is the reason we are here to help eachother out and not fire it off to the next guy. You will find a lot of info on here just by using the search button
