Need Advice on A4 2.0t sedan Quattro
Hey, I've been looking around and went to a audi dealership 2 days ago and decided to get a 2012 A4 sedan Quattro.
I told that dealer that it must be an All wheel drive (Quattro), must have a sunroof and LED headlights. He gave me an MSRP of $43050.00 and in total with taxes it came down to $51,511.11
This is going to be my first time buying a car and I know for sure I can bring it down but just how much can I bring it down for? Also I'll be fine with a 2011 model as long as it's not white or black.
I live in the GTA area, so hamilton, oakville, mississauga and maybe even toronto.
So any thoughts or comments would be great. I am going back there on saturday for a test drive.

From having purchased a 2012 A4 Avant last month, I would say there is a bit of wiggle room, but not much. The best I was able to get was a $350 rebate off equipment (i.e. trunk liner, carpets, etc...) and winter tires/rims at cost. Going for a 2011 model is a good way to lower costs, they`ll want to get rid of those asap, you probably wont have much choice... IMO, saving a few thousands is not really worth settling on something you might regret - spend the extra dough and get exactly what you want.

I went to Mid Town Audi in the GTA and they treated me like gold . I was looking at a 2011 or a 2010 and bought a 2009 that looks and drives and is warrantied almost like a new one and paid a lot less

You may want to invest $40 in CarCost Canada reports. It will show you dealer cost and any incentive programs available. After you have made your firm decision which model and features you want, make an appointment with the sales manager at your local dealerships telling him you have their cost and would like his best price. The info on their web site will give you advice on what to expect in terms of markup over dealer cost, etc. In Vancouver, it was about 4.5% above, vs list of about 8-10%. A better discount may be possible on other cars, but the Avant was in demand. It will depend on various factors for your region, but I would expect GTA to be competitive given the number of dealers. One other factor to consider is location. A friend was able to get a better deal from his close- to- home dealer, since they want your warranty and service business which is quite profitable.
Good luck!
