Default Klima-Cleaner in my B8

Here's my first "meaningful" contribution to the forum....

I had that smellysock/*** smell coming from my vents whever I switched off my a/c and had the vents running so I picked up some Klima-Cleaner from eShine a few weeks ago...just got around to using it last night.

For those not familiar with this product, you spray it into the dash vents via a long hose that comes with the product and the product is supposed to work its way down to the a/c evaporator (where the stanky bacteria/mold reside) and kills everything. After spraying, leave for half an hour then blast the a/c on high for a minute with the windows open.

For anyone that is going to try this product, the directions on the spray can say to feed the tube through the "center vent". However, it turns out that the centre vents in the B8 have a mesh covering about 2 inches behind the vent cover which prevents insertion of the tube. Someone on the Audizine forum noted that they used the driver's side and passenger's side vents to spray the product (these are not covered by the mesh) so this is what I did (half the can in the driver side, other half passenger side). Given that the stank is gone now from my a/c, I assume that inserting the tube in the driver side/passenger side vents will get the product to the evaporator just as well as delivering via center vents.

This stuff works very well, big thumbs up (note: I didn't change out the cabin air filter).
