Bluetooth Echo in '09 Audi A4
Hello, first time post. I've had an '09 Audi A4 premium for the last couple of months and I love it.
One issue, It syncs to my Blackberry Curve great, full address book, call log etc BUT, everything works fine when I'm on a call until about the 15-20 minute mark, then the person I'm talking to tells me they can hear a bad echo when they're talking. I can't hear anything but it's happened on all calls when they go this long. Any other reports of this or ways to fix it?
Thanks

I have to say, i've never talked for more than 2 minutes on the bluetooth.
dumb question but does it happen at the same place/time of day (ie driving home from work on the same road)... my thoughts are poor reception.
other than that it could be a software glitch. maybe the folks in germany didn't try using it for more than 20 min.

i have the oem bluetooth in my 02 a4 never had that problem but there is a lot more adjustments if you have vag com you can add a reverb to the mic or lower/raise the mic sensitivety in 1db increments
if the dealer will do it under warrenty might be worth an hour with the computer hooked up to it, to get the settings just right

thanks for the replies. I don't think its reception as my phone works fine in all the areas its happened. I thought it could be the mic sensitivity as well, maybe people hearing themselves talking back through my stereo but I don't know. Even when I turn the radio down to almost nothing I get the same complaint and I know that bluetooth technology can sometimes have an echo. Maybe I have to go to the dealership and check it out.

My middle finger comes to mind about the new handsfree law...it is more distracting yelling into the mike on the roofliner than it is with a phone to my ear. Plus, I have this insane urge to wave my hands as I talk and drive -- ^_^
Go get some tinted windows - problem solved =)

Re: Bluetooth Echo in '09 Audi A4
All right! I'm bringin this post back. Still have my 09 Audi, and I have to say I still love it. What a great car, I'm hooked and I'll most likely buy it out or get the new model when my lease is up.
Just one thing, the BLUETOOTH ECHO on the other end of calls still comes up... almost every call that runs to the 18 minute mark or so, it's like clockwork. The person on the other end always starts to complain of hearing themselves talk. It works incredibly well up to this point.
How many calls do I take that go to 20 minutes?? Unfortunately lots, conference calls, long drives, etc... I really wish I could figure this out and get it fixed.
FYI, I've now used my bluetooth with the curve, a newer curve, and now a bold. At least 4 or 5 different phones I've been through since I got the car and all the same problem. So it's not the battery, or the phone... Please help!!
Anyone else having this issue or just me?

Re: Bluetooth Echo in '09 Audi A4
Happy to post that it's fixed! Took my Audi in for service and it was a faulty Bluetooth module. I guess this has become a known issue. If you're having this problem just ask them to replace it.
