I ended up paying the $3600 for labour to replace the pistons and rings (parts were covered by Audi Canada). Wasn't happy about it being that it was a manufacturers defect but had to be fixed!

I have a 2010 oil burner (Audi A4), the dealer & Audi will perform the work required, at an out of pocket cost of $1500. This work is scheduled for next week.
I don't think I should be paying anything, it should be covered under my extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle less they 2 years ago.
I would like to participate in any efforts to help owners acquire satisfactory repairs for the oil consumption problem including my costs.

Hello OP any updates on this. I have a 2010 that started burning 1 quart every 600 kms after the 85K scheduled service. I'm TD1 due to tune. It had APR stage 1 for 2 months when I took it in for the first oil consumption test 4 years ago where they reflashed the ECM and wiped the tune. It's never been put back on.

Hello I purchased a 2011 audi a4 2.0l turbo about a month ago and in that month I have added 3lt of oil. Who would I have to contact to see if audi will put the needed parts to fix the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an 2009 A4 that has a piled up engine apparently due to a tensioning device failure on the timing chain. I see there is a class action in the US, anything going on in Canada?

I am not showing oil dropping however I am getting "stop car low oil pressure warning". Like many other A4 B8 owners. Also carbon build up on plugs, muffler tips and valves.

would love to be part of this law suit. I just had my request from Audi Canada declined to have this issue fixed. I even had 2 oil consumption test done and they both failed. It should be a recall.
