Hi,

I have a 2008 Audi A4 2.0T. I bought it used in 2010 at 50,000 kilometres. It burned oil like crazy - in the dealership every few weeks with the oil light on even though my driving milage was less than average. They finally replaced the rings in 2013 at 66,000 kilometres. Now, at 135,000 k I've had a "catastrophic engine fail" due to a broken valve spring. The dealership sold me the car with the new car warranty still in place, plus Audi pre-owned warranty and I bought the extended warranty. This fail occurred six months out of warranty. I think this engine - BWT - was faulty from the start. Are you still pursuing a class action suit? Thanks for any input you would care to provide. TJ

These cars are pieces of SH*T!! The engines are a catastrophic fail from the day they were made on the line. Don't waist your time fixing it , just get rid of the piece of SH*T . The company is a joke for anything they produce that isn't sold for $100,000. The A4 I bought gave me nightmares for months to this day and it's been out of my life for 2 months now. FU*K those cars and FU*K Audi

I would like to participate in any efforts to help owners acquire repairs for the oil consumption problem. I own a 2011 Q5 2.0L turbo ripping through the oil. Getting run around from Audi dealership.

Hi there, I have a 2011 Audi A4 that recently failed the oil consumption test. Audi performed the first two steps and it failed on the third step. I have 84,790 Km on my car and have maintained it better than the recommended Audi service requirements (oil changes every 10,000 km rather than 15,000). Audi has indicated that my warranty has now expired and that as a "good will" gesture, they are going to provide the necessary piston and rings but that I am required to pay for the installation ($3600). I am not impressed with the outcome and have discussed it with the Audi Canada consultants on three occasions. I have read all the information provided by a gentleman in the UK and see that they as well as the states have been fully compensated for the necessary repair under the lawsuits. Have you made any progress with a Canadian lawsuit?
Thanks
Les

Both the year and mileage are within the extend warranty, why don't you get covered? Did you get the partial compensation offer from dealer or Audi Canada?

I got the partial offer from Audi Canada. The dealership is not providing any compensation.

I got a 2011 A4, failed oil test badly (1.5 L /1000KM). I bought it CPO, the thing is AUDI dealership does not have any maintenance history of the car, and obviously I am not qualify Audi Canada's warranty criteria. STUPID reason. Anyone has the same issue?

I got the partial compensation offer from Audi Canada. I provided receipts for my purchases of oil and filters which I bought through an auto shop but they told me that the warranty only covers service maintenance receipts. I had the services performed at my home as we are equipped with a hoist. The actual consumption got worse after Audi performed the first two stages of the consumption fix.

I have a 2010 A5 with 97000 km that's consuming way too much oil. My 2006 A4 burns zero oil with 223000 km!
