Hey guys i have a front track a4, and i am wondering how the first part of the exhaust is set up, is it cat then downpipe or downpipe then cat. And what I heard is that is becuase of my current setup, doing my downpipe will do virtually nothing, the only bottle neck in my exhaust is the cat.

Here is my current setup. cat and downpipe or vise versa, thats what im trying to find out, then straight pipe into the magna flow muffler

The only custom part i have is the piping and the muffler.

I looked at some workshop diagrams i just found and it looks like its first the cat, then the downpipe. So from what im seeing here is that doing the downpipe is kind of useless, i should just get a high flow cat, and call it a day am i correct?
