Audi A4 2009 1.8CVT?
I read about that 60MPG on Gas.
Thats the only way I can get my Dad to buy that car. Ive googled alot but I know you guys would know first hand about the V4 compared to the V6 which is 200HP.
What are the repair cost good and bads about that car?.
Thanks.
I LOVE THE AUDI!.

Firstly there is no such thing as a V4, its an inline 4, a 2.0 turbo if you're buying 2009. A V6 would be the 3.2 and would use more gas.
The 1.8 isn't available anymore on the newer cars; only used.
I have the 2.8 in my A6 right now and the lowest i've been able to get it down to on a long highway stretch with constant speed is probably just above 10L/100km. The A4 is lighter but it wouldn't be THAT much of an improvement.
As for the 2.0 you're still not going to be seeing 60MPG.
If you're buying new, repair should be alirght if you take care of it and don't let the dealer gouge you for everything. If you're buying used...service history.
EDIT: didn't see title said 2009

Re: Audi A4 2009 1.8CVT?
I saw it in a Car Guide Euro magazine.
I dont know I couldn't find it online again but it was compared to teh BMW 318I or somthing like that.
Isnt Audi the same Manufacturer as Jetta?
I forget maybe it might of been the Diesle A3 or what ever.
I want to find that magazine again.

No Audi does not make the Jetta, VW does. It is in the same family but definitely not the same manufacturer.

Re: Audi A4 2009 1.8CVT?
Europe market gets a lot of engines that Canada/US doesn't. That does include a normally aspirated (not turbo) 1.8l that is a real fuel miser. It also includes a bunch of diesel options that again are not available here.
As posted above, currently your Audi options are a 2.0 Turbo and a 3.2 V6. You can get a reasonably cheap A4 from 1997+ that has a 1.8L Turbo, which in my view is not much easier on gas than the current 2.0. But neither of them is a gas guzzler, in my opinion.
VW and Audi do have the same parent company. Some parts are shared by both manufacturers. If you want something in the family that's easy on gas, consider a TDI (diesel) Golf or Jetta.

To the OP: An automatic transmission will never have the same fuel economy as a manual. CVT refers to the type of transmission, not engine.

Sorry, should have specified I didn't mean no such thing ever but rather just in recent Audi's that you would be looking to buy.
