I check my consumption using how many L i fill and how many km are on my trip computer.
I do about 80% highway and 20% city and I get about 500km per 55L => which is 11L/100km

Does seem kinda high to me for mostly highway driving. But I'm assuming this is recent and the cold weather is going to hurt mileage.
Ever measured it with just a mostly pure highway trip somewhere?

Mine is An A4 2006 2.0L auto Quattro.
I get in the 9's city no rush hour and 10's rush hour.
On highway I get 7's and kiss 6.- with a tailwind doing 10-15 kms over limit.

I just filled up last night, it hasn't been too cold here yet, mostly 0 to -10C when I've been driving, mainly on the yellowhead and henday, 80km-120km, (i dont drive to work, just for fun), 607km on approx 52 litres for about 8.7l/100km over the past week.

Yeah, I live downtown, so when I go out driving, i'm normally on one of the freeways pretty quick to go for a cruise. Otherwise, random trips to the store and such are included in that. I'd say about 100km of normal city traffic with lights etc at 50-60km/hr and then another 150km of freeway with lights, so some stop and go at around 70-80km/hr. The rest of that tank was "highway" cruising on the new Henday looping around edmonton at 100-120km/hr. Also on my winter tires which are 17" and not 19" like my summer tires.

I'm calculating the L/100KM.
I seem to be getting around 11-12 and I'm babying the car. I am trying to see what could be the cause of me not getting 8-9 like everyone else.

I've been trying to keep a record because I feel that my gas consumption is pretty bad. Can you tell me your gas consumption?
I'm driving about 20% City and 80% highway and I'm very light on the gas pedal always watching my instantaneous consumption and avoid using the A/C and keeping the windows closed.
