2X engine speed sensor codes

2X engine speed sensor codes
hey all,
after driving home from work on friday i filled up on gas(shell94) and car could not start..after a few tries it started and seamed ok.
But on saturday while on the highway in sixth gear the rmp red lined for a second and then the epc ligth came on...the car had no power and could not go over 3500 rpm...when i pulled over it was idling steady at 1500rpm.. so the two codes are 16705 and 16706 related to the engine speed sensor..last week i got the under rust spray done but that could not have damaged the sensor??
so do i have to take this to the dealer??
