Hi, new member here. I just ordered my 2103 A4. I wasn't sure about the lights until I went to the dealer and saw it in person. I do like them!

I had originally planned on getting the 2012, but when I looked at the package I wanted, premium plus with the nav, rear camera etc, it was cheaper to get the 2013. I was able to negotiate a better deal on the 13 since they were shipping it right in. The financing rate wasn't as good, but when I factored in the better discount and not having to pay more for the extras that I had planned, I came out ahead.

warcity, does the Canadian model come with the Google Map feature too? that would be great. The dealer didn't mention that to me.

I'm 99% sure they do.. I was in the same situation as you, I had my exact 2012 s4 chosen but none of the dealers around had exactly what I was looking for. I also didn't want to compromise on a $65,000 vehicle.

The financing rates on the 2012's were being offered at 0.9% which is awesome, but since Navigation, B&O were included with the 2013's it was on par.

There is a recent post on Audizine showing some facelift B8's from Europe. They look much better than the stock Audi photos, and terrible computer renderings.

Yes all Audi models next year will get Google maps. Same as what's already in the A6, A7 and A8. No more navigation map updates. Very smart move by Audi.

I saw an A4 2013 with the new LED lights on the road (for the first time) and I don't like it. It doesn't have the uniqueness that the A6 or A7 or A8 have. I don't like the rear lights either.

seems the dealers everywhere have a glut of 2012 allotments that they want rid of. Great negotiating opportunity.

The facelift is nice looking but if a cosmetic difference is the only change (really) I don't know. You have to remember that getting a deal on the buy of the 2012 will be offset by a larger than normal value gap between the 2012 to 2013 when you go to resell it. People will want the newer 'model' in most cases, even if it's just cosmetic.

Here's a facelifted A4 at my local dealer next to a 2009-2012 version...both are the 'base' model I believe. The facelifted car looks quite excellent in comparison. Can't wait to see an S-line/S4. I think it's a great improvement to the bum of the sedan whose lights didn't help the tapered bum and made it look a little droopy on the original B8. The front of the original was fantastic, so I don't think the new one is an improvement per se...it's equally excellent though.








Here's a B8 S4 in POCCNA facelifted. Front looks funny in the photos. Shooting down at a car almost always makes it look shitty.

It's amazing how minor the change is. Every company fiddles with lights during a mid cycle refresh. You make a great point but in a couple of years the redesign is coming so both these face lifts will be outdated anyway.

I don't like the new rear lights at all. Not sure why.

About the Google Maps, I assume it uses the "Audi Connect". I looked that up and saw that it stated it wasn’t available in Canada and Mexico.

Few months back I was fiddling with an A7 and the maps were working. I might be wrong but I think Audi Connect is required for updates and traffic info. Basic map "should" work. Again, I might be wrong.

I know that Canadian Carriers don't yet support wifi hot spot. Again this may have recently changed.

The 13 will have alot more value... S-Line still available.. Nav and push button start are standard features on the base premium... More value on the 13 for sure..

Nav and push button in the base premium is good but this will probably increase the base premium price forcing you to pay for a Nav. Rather then giving you an option should you not choose the Nav (you don't pay for it if you don't want it). I am a big fan of packages this gives you choices.

Push button is nice though to have in the base package.
