ya i was happy with the deal, and the reason i was okay wiht my initial deal was because a) obv SPP is a huge discount b) he told me that nobody offers anything above SPP as it is huge deal already c) i was referred to him by someone that bought 2 audis off him in the last year d) it was the last day of the april offer and i was uncertain of the offers to come e) it was my first ever car buying experience

then i found out he ****ed me with the audi care and other ppl were saving another 1% or 2 on top of SPP and i went ape ****.

anyway, alex can you confirm that in April, the month's offer entitled me to SPP+Audi care+2 free finance payments, and Audi care and the two finance payments do not offset each other (he told me that one payment is offset because only 1 is covered by AC)

thanks

p.s., i can't wait to give him a 0 rating on his precious survey which he asked me to give him a 100 on

You should be entitled to: SPP 7% off plus Audi Care and two free payments. Regardless of what the guy says. Unless it was agreed ahead of time that you would only get one payment for free.
There's nothing you can do if other people got another point off or not, but you should get the above.

I would had to this, whatever AC has for promotion you are intitled, if not it means the dealers is trying to pocket the money from you.

I had a dealer where I was about to buy the car. I was not aware of the sPP program. He gave me a called, he knews where I was working, so he said that he would give me free Audi Care. So I thought this was very generous of him. Then on the week-end I read this forum. I called him on monday and ask him about SPP. So he said, oh !! how do you think I was able to get you the free Audi care.

However, he was trying to get some of the 7% back to him, because he only offer 2000$ plus the 1500% from Audi's May promotion. The 7% was up to the amount of 2789$ or so..

When I read you post, he almost make me think this dealer was trying to get some money back in making you believe you had to share against Audi Care.

Call Mr Brennan ( Corportate Manager of Audi Canada, and ask him to investigate this dealership, at least he will straight out the situation for you. I feel not all dealership are up front with SPP. There still trying go get you less that 3% they have to pay on that program.

My two cents.... and opinion only.

I had the same issue with the Audi Care and the SPP. I pulled out the calculator and worked the number back. The Audi Care credit amount amount was added to the discount and then added to the invoice price so it was free. Was told similar thing, Audi Care must show as sale to qualify.

Paid cash for the car so I got the $3000 off the 7% SPP discount plus free Audi Care.

Nice to have that kind of cash... I tried the numbers with my own financing but still the 1.9% is hard to beat and for 72 months... it was a better deal at 1500$ and 1.9% in my case for 6 years.

Boeing, where in Montreal did you buy from? Are dealers willing to go below invoice? I want to buy soon to take advantage of the $3000 incentive for a cash purchase on an A4.

I guess you will see tomorrow what kind of incentive June is bringing.

I bought at Prestige Audi, Audi DDO is the same owners. You may have a better chance at Audi Lauzon in Laval, they are very agressive in their pricing.

I don't believe that dealers will go below their paid invoice price, but you might get close to 2000$ of PDSF price. They are holding to their profit.

Good luck then.

According to the Audi Canada website, the cash incentive expires on June 30th.

I was asking if they'll go below invoice because I was reading some posts on the Edmunds.com Audi forum and many U.S buyers were getting at least $1000 below invoice. Don't know if it works the same in Canada.

I am no expert, but I believe the margin is about 2750$ from PDSF to invoice. You are a good buyer if you get below invoice. But who knows.

Edmunds.com is not Canadian and we do live in Canada so the economy is different, just look at car price in the U.S. versus Canada, for a long time we were paying more for our cars. Also thier price include PDI If I'm not mistaken.

Let us know how it turns out.

You are indeed correct promotion and interest rate valid till June30Th.

I guess it announces the 2010 are gearing up for July. Then you must be buying at a good time, I also notice that to make their quota the dealer and the saleperson are really trying hard toward month's end. Better price most likely. So maybe you could wait till the end of June, but also you risk to have less choice. Unless color or optionsl are not of prime importance.

Good luck Pistol_pete.
