Default Is S-Line worth it? Also, manual vs Tip?

I'm looking a ordering a 2013 A4 Premum Plus. Have always had manuals but may go to tiptronic. The MT A4 I test drove didn't seem as smooth compared to any other MT's I've had. Maybe I would get used to it. I prefer MT to Auto because I find it more fun to drive and you have more control of the car, especially when decelerating. Maybe the auto has a faster 0-100 time but I won't really miss .2 seconds.

I'm considering the S-Line package, mostly for the seats and the Audi Select. I am not really interested in the 19" wheels because of the rougher ride (have test driven). I'm coming from a 1999 A4 and a 2002 Passat, both of which have 1.8T and 15" wheels so 19" is a big change. I'm not interested in rims that make the car look better, I want one's that are a better ride, won't be easily damaged but still have good performance. In any case, I would be buying a seperate set of rims (17 or 1 for winter tires.

The seats in the S-line seem to be have better thigh support but I've only test-driven the 2 different seats for 20 minutes each so I don't know which would be more comfortable on a 4 hour drive. I also like the cloth feel of the Alcantara upholstery and assume it would be cooler in hot weather.

I have a sport steering wheel in the 99 A4 so I wanted the same in the new one but the 2013 standard steering wheel is now the 3 spoke sport wheel (thick but not flat-bottomed) so I don't need S-Line for that.

Has anybody ever ordered the S-Line package but changed to 18" wheels? Will the dealer do anything for me? The US sports package has Drive Select with 18" wheels but in Canada you must get the 19" wheels if you want Audi Select and/or sport seats.

Anyways, I was hoping for anybody's input on the value of S-Line and also their experience with the seats (sport or standard) and manual vs tiptronic.

I have a MT S-line. Regarding the sport seats, I find they are great for spirited driving holding you firmly in place, but on a long 4 hour drive, I find them uncomfortable, particularly in the thigh area where the side bolsters become too constrictive.
