Tire question

Re: Tire question
94 is a weight rating. How much weight the tire can carry. A 94 rating can carry around 1500lb of weight (this is per tire).
The H is a speed rating. H is good for around 200kmph. So unless you plan on going faster than 200 (I'm not even sure if our Audi's can do that), you should be good.

Re: Tire question
My 02 A4 is bone-stock and I had it up to 200 pretty easily a couple of days ago. I put in a new coil pack and while I was doing that I changed the plugs, cleaned the MAF sensor, and swapped out the air filter for a new one. I wanted to see how much of a difference it made. Pretty substantial, I can hear the turbo spool up much louder now and it climbed to 200 without problem. I think with a little more highway I could have been at 220 pretty easily. The car was perfect, no shudders, no vibrations. It felt like I was at cruising speed, was heavan!

Re: Tire question
According to wikipedia, the top speed for a B7 A4 2.0T FSI Quattro is 237km/h. The B6 top speed is not listed, but I would assume low 230's since the B5 top speed is 231.

Re: Tire question
Good to know. I've never gone that fast. I think my car looks nicer in my Garage than it would at the police impound. LOL
Man, I must be getting old.... I sound like my dad...

Re: Tire question
HA! True. That's what kept me from going any faster...I think 230 km/h is attainable for a stock b6 without much problem. Add a chip, intake, and exhaust and you're laughing.
