Tire balance or alignment?

Tire balance or alignment?
I am driving my 2006 audi a4 2.0t, , i could feel the steering wheel is shaking when the speed is over 90km/h, gear 5, after 120km/h, gear 6, the shaking is gone.
what's the problem, should I do tire balance and alignment, does this cause the problem?
Thanks.

Re: Tire balance or alignment?
I had something very similar to what you're describing. If you read through the thread you will notice it could be a multitude of things.

Mine ended up being simple wheel balancing and making sure the lugs were torqued evenly.
On a side note: Thank you to all who responded to my thread back then, much appreciated and case closed!!

Re: Tire balance or alignment?
yeah, it might be the tire balancing, i consult some others, if the vibration is on the steering wheel only, probably the front wheel balance need to be done, i will get my winter tire this weekend anyway, i will see if the vibration is still on after new tires.

from the previous post, i noticed that, about the oil change?
dealer always recommend 15000km interval, i would do is at least, twice as frequent as it is. say 6000-8000km. any good suggestion?
