RPM fluctuations
Got a 2006 A4 B7 ,and I am getting RPM fluctuations in the morning when the car on higher gear and low RPM range , I changed the breathing Valve and the cam follower recently for the same reason, but still getting this fluctuation, no engine light. doesn any body had the same problem . I just want to take few opinions here

Hey,
I've got the same car with the exact same issue. It only happens when the car is cold and it happens with cruise control on as well. The issue usually appears when I'm traveling at about 50km/hr, and I'd say it goes away after about 5 minutes of driving. I've also had the breather valve replaced but not the cam follower. I'd love to know what the hell is causing this.

The other problem I have , and I think it is related to the RPM fluctuation, the car used to start and stay on high RPM ( around 1200 RPM) for few min till it worm up them the RPM go back to the normal idle level (around 900 RPM). But now when it is very cold the car starts on lower RPM around 950 RPM. I have to leave it running like that for few sec, turn the engine off then turn it on again may be I have to do that twice to get the car pick up the high RPM to worm up. I know it might be a very simple issue and I should not worry about it but I am just wondering if there is any explanation.

i've had this exact same problem, i've had them do a complete scan of car but it hasn;t thrown off codes. My coil packs have already been replaced via warranty and I just changed my cam and cam follower. (Cam follower showed excessive wear when i opened it up causing some scorching damage to the cam ).
Still have somewhat of an issue...
Haven't replaced spark plugs yet.. anyone fix it ??
