Default Performance Computer Flash

Hi All... I'm new to this site and glad to meet you all.

I'm bringing my '08 A4 2.0T to get the performance computer upgrade. It's the one from Neuspeed. Did anyone have this upgrade or hear anything about it? Also, are there any other upgrades to do besides the exhaust & drop in air filter?

Thanks for all or any info...

p.s. is there any good iPod adapters out there?

quite a number of companies make chips for the A4, Neuspeed, APR, GIAC come to mind...

Exhaust and drop in filter are your best bets to keeping stock like driveability and keeping the mod budget under control.. of course you could go hardcore with a turbo kit, but for daily driving it just doesn't seem to be worth it.

for ipod adapters check out Scosche Industries : Car Audio Accessories, iPod Accessories, Bluetooth Wireless Accessories, EFX Hyperformance, Accumat Sound Damping, Soundkase audio backpacks, CD and DVD storage systems

oh yeah and welcome to the forum!

My performance guy said to start off small and see the differences. He suggested first chipping (I got the GIAC), then diverter valve and see how you like the extra punch. Then, larger injectors, larger brakes, and exhaust.

It depends on your budget and how much tweaking you want. With drop in filters (K&N), make sure it's dry when you install it, if it is wet or has too much oil, then you might get the MAF sensor going off.

Have fun!

Thumbs up Re: Performance Computer Flash

Thanks for the help guys.

I did notice a few different companies that do the ECU re-flash. I just had the Neuspeed program done on Friday. It's definitely a noticeable increase & worth the money. I really notice a difference in the top end/higher speed but it felt like there was a boost drop off between 5500-6500 rpm. It feels like a stock/factory car with the extra added kick it needed.

The more I read the more I think I'll just do some small other things like the filter & maybe the exhaust. I really don't want to compromise the driveability & it's really a nice car & a daily driver. I think if I'm gonna go performance crazy then I'll try to pick up an older 1.8T or 2.7T.

I'll keep everyone posted..

Thanks again!!
