Default New Lights Audi A4 07

Hey guys,
I am looking to upgrade my headlights to the 2012 style of lights (LED strip with projectors) Now based on the little research I did that the ones that don't come with the conversion kit (I have basic halogen lights) will work with no wiring but wont be nearly as bright.
The one I was looking at is below, It also comes with a grill (need one since someone with a trailer hitch backed right into mine.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/EURO-BLK-DRL-...ht_5153wt_1270

There is also these with the conversion kit
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360411218327...S:1123&vxp=mtr

Anyone have any experience with changing there headlights? Is it hard? In your opinion should I go with the conversion kit or will I run into any problems that you have.

Also is eBay a bad place to get this sort of thing? Any recommendations would be great! If you know where I can the RS4 style grill that will fit my A4 please do tell! Or any nice grill for that matter.

Thanks!

Both kits will work but if the projector lens in the headlight isnt designed for HID the light output wont be too great (still better then halogens tho) Doing headlights in an a4 is a rather big job. You must jack the car up, take off the front wheels, pull the fender liner (to access 4 nuts (2 on each side) to loosen the front bumper. Then remove i believe 3 or 4 bolts at the top of the bumper to allow it to slide forward. Then remove 3 bolts from each headlight. Just be aware that "ebay" headlights are not always that great quality wise, it can be hit and miss. But it is completely up to you and your budget. As for the grill, depending on the model of A4 that you have some grills wont fit properly. If your car is not an RS/S/S-line a standard grill will not work. I have found that a lot of aftermarket grills are designed to fit a non s-line A4. If you have a non s-line A4 just ask the seller and verify that the grill is designed for a non s-line car.

Thanks!
I'm not to worried about taking the bumper off or anything like that, its just the electrical... I hope!
I only broke my license plate holder so I may just get one from someone in QC or on-line instead of the whole grill much easier! and cheaper.

Does anyone have any experience using plastidip or any plastic paint on the entire grill, I see DIY for the outer piece but want to black out the entire grill as well.

You said eBay is kind of hit n miss for these types of things, any sites you like?

it will be direct plug and play i believe, although i dont have experience with the LEDs. I have used plasti dip a few times for grills and various other pieces, works great. just remove the grill and tape off what you dont want painted. Make sure to do multiple light coats for the best result. I tend to stay away from ebay in general when it comes to car parts. I have spent a lot of money on parts from ecstuning and have never been disapointed. I just believe that these are high quality cars so buy high quality parts. but thats just how i think.

i bought ebay projectors for my old civic, very crappy make i would suggest spending extra money and customizing oem lights. thats my plan plus keeps that audi feel apose to using a cheaper non oem headlight.

if you like it go for it but just after seeing how cheap the ebay lights are in person i am not pleased.
