Default MMI Problems....

Greetings,

Just wanted to say I am now a proud owner of an Audi A4 Meteor Grey 2.0T

The car is a fully equipped 2006 model and so far (i've had it for a week) it has been performing absolutely amazing Purr's more than my cat!

I am however experiencing a problem with the MMI. Whenever I turn the car on I get a warning on the navigation screen that says "CD/DVD drive not functioning. Please visit Audi Dealer" , but as I drive for a few minutes it seems that it starts working. The disk in the drive is suddenly read and the navigation starts functioning perfectly. I tried an MP3 disk as well and it works fine. The Navigation disk has a scratch on it but it doesn't look too serious and it wouldn't make sense that the drive reads it then doesn't read it and repeat.

Can anyone shine some light onto this situation? I recently sent the car for full out testing at audi, and a couple of things were done-up (coolant hose seal, bumper brackets, oil, fluids) . Could have they screwed up something with the computer or forgotten to reset something?

Thanks, I really appreciate it

It could be the scratch, can you borrow a clean cd from anyone?
Also, it can't be meteor gray, that is a new color, it's probably dolphin gray.

can somebody explain why the MMI is sometimes under the shifter and sometimes above where the a/c and heat controls are??

i bought an a4 and i don't even know where it's going to be lol. I noticed in the brochures its below but the premium package i tested had it above.

i.e., it DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THIS!

do all you need to add is NAV to get the cool controls

2009 A4? If it is, then the MMI controls on the centre console, if no nav, then they are above the climamte control.
