Guidance on A4 S-Line purchase....
Hi all,
Im new to the forum and am hoping some of you more experienced Audi owner's can help me in making the right decision.
I came accross an '05 Audi A4 S-Line (one of my favourite cars), and I am seriously looking at purchasing it. The car currently has 113,000 km's, new summer tires, a set of winters w/rims and was recently brought into their local Audi dealership for the timing belt, water pump and tune-up with Audi's 200 point inspection. They are asking $23,500 for the car which looks to be in great shape from the pictures I have seen.
Do you guys think this is a fair asking price? Should I try and offer much less? Your thoughts and help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Guidance on A4 S-Line purchase....
It is too high IMO. Wholesale value is about $15/$16. They should be selling it for $20k at the most. You can get a 2006 and even maybe a 2007 for that money. Of course the USP in 2005 was nice.

Thanks for the feedback. I figured it should be going for much less. I will see if the owner wants to sell fast and make him an offer closer to $18-$19K.

Give us some more details.
Is it a quattro?
4 cyl Turbo or 6 cyl
Manual or automatic
The price is too high, but how much too high will be based on these factors.

It is a Quattro
4 cyl 1.8T
6 Speed
Also comes with new summers, winter tires and rims. Always dealer mainatined, records to prove it. The owner also recently did the timing belt, water pump etc.
Here is the only pic I have of the car. Owner is to send me more today. What would you say would be a fair offer in this case? $20K?

I have the same car, but an 04 with the 6cyl. Yes, the ultrasport is rare and looks killer, but 1.8 T 05 A4 Quattros go from 15-17 in the Autotrader.ca. I'd offer him $17.

tooo expensive. 113k? try 16k-17k. u could do more justice bro. and i remmeber there was a survey to compare all 01-05 b6 models, and 04 seems to be the best choice. go find a 2004 one like i have =)

I found another one that had 190,000 km's and they are asking $19,500. I think people are over-pricing their sales due to the rareity of the vehicle. For a few thousand more I can get an 05 S4 with 81,000km's. I think at this rate the S4 would be a better buy?

I wish these were easier to find, they are very rare in my area. I'll contunue chatting with the owner and see if comes down into the teens.
