Default Brembo Cross Drilled Slotted Rotor noise?

I bought my Audi with the Axxis Ceramic pads and Brembo drilled slotted rotors already on it. I have been noticing more and more clacking/clanking noise when riding over bumps etc with driving and the noise is definitely coming from the front rotors/brakes. It wasn't too bad when I first bought it but they are quite noisy now. When I previously owned my 99 Passat and swapped the rotors out for drilled Brembo's front and rear, they same issue occurred on the front.

I have taken my wheels off and inspected the rotors for warps etc and they look perfect and are nice and true. If I lightly apply my brakes while driving, the noise disappears every time. Anyone else having issues like mine with aftermarket rotors? Any ideas to remedy the issue? Cheers eh

i would assume that the problem is the pads not seating right in the calipers and becoming lose. Which would cause them to hit the rotors...You can try pulling it apart and re seating the pads with some of that break crap that comes in the boxes with the pads...otherwise i have no idea.

Ah that might be the issue, it is irritating to say the least hearing that clacking while driving. The car looks good but sounds like poo lol. The brake crap you are referring to would be the shims I assume?

definitly shims, but theres a little tube of almost like silicone crap that comes with brake pads generaly. I wish i could remember the name of the crap right now. I will stop by canadian tire and find out the name.

Hahah perhaps crap would work. Just not the kind that you get after eating Mexican. Silicone adhesive?

ya its a silicon adhesive that should help hold the pad against the piston. Eliminating the rateling of the pad in the caliper. I think its even called brake adhesive....

Aye, I will scoop some up then. The noise sounds horrible, it will be nice to have it gone

Are you talking about the anti-squeal compound?

I have no pig issues with my rotors, just clacking =P I will need to get shims I think.

I have that noise on my brake pads too. I only get it when I switch from braking going fowards to braking going reverse. My mechanic said it's from pad being a fraction too small for the caliper, so it moves back and forth clacking against the edges. He didn't suggest any shimmying though.. just to wait until the next brake job.
