Adding Engine Oil

Re: Adding Engine Oil
I now have 26000KM on my CPO 2010 A4..checked the MMI oil and there was no reading. I added 3/4 litre and still had no reading.
I am hesitant to add more in fear of having too much but the manual says that if there is excessive oil there will be a warning "excessive oil"
Has anyone experienced this?
I have added oil a few times since I got the car last August, but I always had a reading on the MMI near the MINIMUM level. Adding a little at a time it came up to 3/4 which I felt comfortabe with, but now there is no reading.
I am presently waiting for a call back from the dealer...want to know if I should add more oil.
I just want to see the red bar on the MMI...just wish there was a dip stick.
Hope I don't have a potential problem.
So, is there an EXCESSIVE OIL warning alert like it says in the book?

Re: Adding Engine Oil
Update:
Well I added another half liter and now I got a oil reading on my MMI..have an apointment with the dealer for my maint and mentioned my oil consumption since I got the car. They changed the oil which was due and will start checking consumption, so I have to bring the car in again in 1000km....also they changed the PVC valve and mentioned that this usually corrects 90% of problems.
Update to follow.

Re: Adding Engine Oil
Update
Brought my car back to the Audi dealer after I I got the oil change and logged 1000km. They did the 2nd oil consumption check and said that it took .06 litre of oil/1000km and this meets the Audi specs. Don.t need to return. The MMI oil reading is still full. Hopefully the PVC replacement
did the trick. I will keep a close eye on it.

Re: Adding Engine Oil
I've been tracking my oil usage since I bought my 2007 A4 2.0T Avant about 15 months ago.
I'm now at 90500km on the car. I've been adding 1L of oil every 750km to 1500km. I can actually feel it in the car when it's about to happen as the shifting seems more hesitant right before (last 150km or so) the oil light comes on.
Hopefully with my tracking, I can send this to Audi Canada and show them that it's a serious issue. My local stealership has not been any help other than saying "that's normal for these engines".
Has anyone contacted Audi Canada about this? Think 15 months of consistent data points, including a PCV replacement, are sufficient?
