A4 2.0T Avant S-Line Wheel fitment question
I have just bought an 06 2.0T Avant Quattro S-Line which comes with the 235/40-18 summer performance tires.
I need to get a winter rim and tire package for my car. I have looked at various web sites and the local tire shop recommended the same to me. To use a 16x7 inch rim with 215/55-16" tires.
The shop ordered the package and brought everything in. The problem is that the wheel does fit around the huge front brakes. I believe that according to the tire shop as well as online the wheel is and should have a 35mm offset.
Does anyone have any info on what the offset should be?
What is the offset on stock wheels?
Thanks,
Reza

Re: A4 2.0T Avant S-Line Wheel fitment question
Here are a few resources to help you:
Wheel offset calculator: Wheel Offset Calculator
Tire Size Calculator: Tire size calculator
According to the tire size calculator, the tires and wheels are the right size. Offset is harder because you didn't say if the stock wheels are 18x8 or 18x8.5 and the new wheels you bought are 16x7 probably? Do the Offset calculator and it will tell you.
Also sometimes, a wheel regardless if the offset is correct or not will just not fit as due to the design of the wheel, the spokes touch the brakes, so the offset would need to be fatter regardless to clear properly.
Punch your full info into the offset calculator and it will tell you.
