Default Secondary Air Injection system hose - broken

Hi,

I started getting these codes and a awesome hissing sound on startup.

17819 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 2: Insufficient Flow
P1411 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded
17831 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 1: Insufficient Flow
P1423 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded

Searching via google, most likely broken pipe - I traced the lines from the airbox, to the secondary air pump off to the Combi valves.

At the air pump output, there is a black plastic pipe which runs up and connects to a metal pipe. The metal pipe then continues along to the combi values.

The black plastic pipe is broken just before it connects to the metal pipe just at 90 fitting there.

I want to either fix the hose, or replace it -

However I can't seem to get the clamps on the end of the hose loose - any idea? In the image attached, the hose I'm talking is #7.

The host connector on the air pump seems to have a band on it wihch needs to be squeezed a certain way, and the fitting on the metal pipe, seems to be plastic with 2 metal bands around it. I can rotate the fitting there - but it won't pop off. Its a tiny area in there so hard to get to -

The hose in question - Audi Part # is 06C 133 817 D

Any suggestions?

Sean

I'm sure if you taped it up well enough it wouldn't leak anymore but wouldn't look too nice! To get that connector apart, spray some lubricant on it, squeeze hard, try to pop one side off at a time instead of both at once, and maybe try to gently use a small pick or something if you have to. I know I've had to fight with mine before! Good luck.
