well it sounds to me like u dont have much experiance with cars. does your car sound like a wrx when u give it gas? the reason that i ask is becuz i cant tell you that im a 100% positive that it is you coil packs but i will try and help u anyways lol. alright so basicly changing coil pack is so easy its almost as easy as changing an air filter. alright so basicly you can do a test that should tell you if one of your coilpack are bad. your coilpacks are located under your plastic engine cover. there are 4 of them since your car is a 4 cyclinder and on your car they run up to down. go on google and try to find some info on what coilpacks look like on your car so that when you take off your plastic engine cover you will be able to locate them easy. also try to look up a DIY (do it yourself) for your car on how to change coilpacks or how to change spark plugs becuz the sparkplugs are located under the coilpacks so a diy on how to change spark plugs would have to first tell you how to remove your coilpacks. okay so lets assume that it is your coilpacks but you want to make sure right ? so heres what u do. since u said your car still starts that would mean that only one of your coilpacks is bad because your car can run on 3 cylinders but not on only two. the first 3 coilpacks are fairly easy to unplug so if you find two coilpacks that u can easily unplug then u can do the test but make sure u only unplug one at a time. basically you cant really tell which one is bad just by looking at it you would have to plug your car into a machine that would read your computer and tell you which cylinder is misfiring and that would be the one. okay soo lets say you take off your plastic engine cover so you can see your coilpacks. if your car is idling and you unclip one of the coil packs, there is a 1/4th chance of it being the one that is bad. if your unplug the one that is bad there shud be no change and you shud still be able to turn your car of and back on and there should still be a check engine light. now remember that there is a 3/4 chance that the one that you unplug will be a perfectly fine working coilpack. in this case you will have one coilpack unpluged and one that is not working so it is as if you have two that are not working and when two coilpacks dont work your car wont start. i have to go to a docters appointment know but give that test a shot and let me know how it works out. ps. once you have the plastic engine cover off you should simply be able to disconnect the first couple of coilpacks by hand.( not physically removing it but dissconceting it from a power source)

To make things simple buy a coilpack and swap cylinder #1 start the car if its still misfiring put the old cyl 1 coilpack in and do the same for cyl 2 and so on till the car idles normally.

Usually on Audis one coil pack goes they are all about to let loose! I would just change them all and be done with it! It's a $100 ish well spent and you have a peace of mind knowing it wont be that issue again! How many km's on your car? they start going usually at about 80k!

To who helped me in my first problem with my audi, I thank you! I replaced my ignition coils as what they call them. ALL 4 of them, i was going to do just one but i figured if i just replaced them all and won't have to worry about them later on. Took the car around the block and everything fine but engine light still on but called audi and didn't know that until you take off the CEL with the computer it will stay on. So now thinking about getting a vag-com.

so thank you to everyone and well next time i have a problem i'll make another post

Told ya! LOL! Congrats on solving it, and it is a good thing you replaced all the coil packs. Sometimes the CEL will go away by itself after a certain amount of time has passed without issues! Usually does but the computer will log it until your next scan. You can also find a local person with a vag-com there is a bunch of people on here from Winnipeg!
