Use of spcers
Hi, I hope to get some input from who ever is using spacers, in order to take the right decision. The wheels that I am getting do not have a countersunk centrebore, in other words they have a flat surface that touches the hub. Also, they are hubcentric, which means that there is no movement between the wheel itself and the hub's centrebore. So far, so good (!) Obviouslly I will need flat spacers because the chamfered ones are not going to fit the wheels. I know that I have to look for hubcentric spacers in order to achieve 'no movement' between spacers and the hub centrebore. The spacers that caught my attention are H&R Trak+ 8mm, and because my centrebore is 16mm they will cover half of that lenght. Now... I had a conversation with a rep from Achtuning, and the guy told me that my project is not good at all: I will experience vibrations at high speed.
I am confused: if the spacers and the wheels are hubcentric, and if I use the right bolts, how can I end up in having vibrations.
So, guys, from your personal experience... what kind of advices you have ?
