This morning. I've changed my air filter. Trying to follow Drmarcj's tutorial, I found out I was able to heavily simplify it. I've reused his pictures as they're nicely made.

All you need is:

• A new air filter
• A Phillips screw driver (Shaped as a X).

• Unscrew the 2 screws at the front of the air intake.
• Demount the back half of the air intake, and be careful not to make the snow filter fall from the back into your engine. Clean this small filter at the same time.
• Remove the front half.

• Lose the metallic hose clamp after the corner - I've used my screw driver for this. It's a reusable one so don't break it. You only need to lose it a little. You'll need to pull it strongly as the black tube is shaped to resist (the clamp is where the tube is narrower).
• Disconnect the curved tube from the black tube (the black tube on the right is fixed on the parts of the air box you need to open later, while the curved tube is fixed to the main part of the air box ; thus we need to separate them before we can open this box).

• Unscrew these 2 screws at the top of the air box. The one near the front of the car shouldn't go beyond the cover, otherwise it'll be on the filter's way in and out.
• Open the air box. Don't be afraid to push the sensor a bit on the left.

• Remove the old air filter
• Clean up the box - I had some kind of sand, a broken plastic clip and a very thin piece of wood inside ; how the F*** did they got through the snow filter
• Put the new one instead
• Close the air box, screw it again.
• Retied the black tube and the curved tube, and tighten a bit the hose clamp.
• Remount and screw the air intake (make sure the snow filter hasn't moved).

Done! 5mn of work once you know how to do it. As you see, there's no need to dismount the air sensor nor to brake any single-use clamp - there's a reason why they're not reusable: they're not supposed to be removed

i have a question about the snow filter.. mine has a small hole in it.. where would i be able to get another one? or do i even need to worry about it?
