Wanted to know if it was ok to put a wider tire on the rear of my audi A4 3.0 v6 and have a smaller size on the front.

I wouldn't bother. A staggered setup is only beneficial for RWD cars. Your Audi is either FWD or AWD. I can't imagine any performance benefit.
