Tire Balance

Tire Balance
I am going nuts with my 2005.5 A4. I have just put on a set of Goodyear Eagles, and no one can balance them. The vibration is driving me crazy. The dealer put lots of weight on one wheel on the front and said it was balanced. This has happened four times. Should I demand new tires or try another brand?

Re: Tire Balance
The tire place says the rims are o.k. I know that four ounces had to be added to one tire, which is way too much. I just wonder if the tires are not right for the car or suspension.

Re: Tire Balance
Funny thing is, the car came with a mix of tires, some winter Coopers on the front , which were badly worn, and pirellis, worn out on the back. When I test drove it, I never suspected worn tires and didn't look that closely because they looked good at a glance and it drive fine. Go Figure.

Re: Tire Balance
Aside from trying out a Hunter Road Force machine, perhaps it makes sense to check the tires. A few years ago, I spent the better part of a summer trying to get rid of vibration from a brand new set of S03's. The weheels were perfect and the dealer ended up refunding my money and confirmed he had problems with several sets of that particular tire - he called the problem "square tires" ...
