Default Timing Belt for 3.0

I need to get my timing belt done as its about 4k over the schedule. Just looking for anyone with experience of paying for it, how much have you been quoted?

I find it varies quite a bit and Im not sure where to go. If anyone has any tips for the Vancouver area please let me know!

IIRC, it should be in the 1600$ to 2000+ $ range

I did, I found people were paying anywhere from 800 to 4000.... quite a difference.

800-1600 would be for a 1.8T. A 3.0 has twice the amount of job

I just got my done (but I'm in Toronto). $1,400. I don't see why you can't get that price in Vancouver.

See, there is a lot of argument about the 3.0 price. Lots of people say the 3.0 is double the price, but there are some people who somehow get it done for 1000 bucks...

In any case, I have a quote expected in a couple mins... ill post it up here.

EDIT: Quote is 800 +tax. Full kit including waterpump and all the extras.

Agree with PwrDriftr - that's a great price for the 3.0

How did it go? I got mine done at the VW dealer (Thunder Bay doesn't have an Audi dealer) and total it was a little over $2,700 for the belt and time.
