Default Symphony II replacement options?

I have a 2004 A4 that I would that has the symphony II audio radio/CD/tape system install. Unfortunately the DVD player has stopped working and I am now in search for a replacement. The obvious thing would be to find a direct replacement, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any other options that may be a bit better? I would like to have the ability to plug in my IPod or a have a Navigation system.

RNS-E is the original upgrade from AUDI or some Pioneer models will fit perfect.

I purchased a brand new unit from genuinevwaudiparts.com for $28. The cable for plugging in an ipod and using the headunit to control the ipod is $150ish.

Headunit:
part# - 8E0035195A

iPod wiring adapter:
part# - 8E0051444A

I just purchased a unit from autodvdgps.com for the simple reason it looks like a stock unit. It has a touch screen, GPS, USB, streeming bluetooth for music and handsfree phone and it works with the bose system and is plug and play with a little modification of the wiring harness they send (the one they send you has no power supply for the amp) i have only had it for about 2 weeks but so far its great does everything i want it to and for less then half the price of any other i could find with the same features.

RNS or Sym II+ if you want to stay OEM... otherwise, lots of aftermarket products can be fitted with the right bezels.

I just looked online at those links, and it tells me nothing is found using the search, how were you able to find them?
