Hi everybody, I am new to this website, and new in Audi. I just bought a 2002 A4 1.8T, and got it from US. So, there everything is in Miles and Fahrenheit, so i went to Audi shop here in my country and asked to change Miles, and put Kilometres in my dashboard. But now the buttons on the doors, that close and open all the doors do no react anymore. The lock button works, but unlock button doesnt react, so I have to open all the doors with hand, by pulling all the handels. Does anyone know what might be the problem here???

Yeah they did not code it properly. They changed the entire code where as they were only supposed to shift one number! you must have lost a lot more things not just lock and unlock! You may not notice it right away. I will do a write up when I get home today to help you out, on how to change this.

thanks for replying. So, would it help if I go back to te Audi shop and ask them to change it back to miles, would that fix the problem/

K tell them to do this

Address 09: Cent. Elect. change Coding to 01014 if you have Xenons
Address 09: Cent. Elect. change Coding to 00014 if you have Xenons and no light sensor*
Address 09: Cent. Elect. change Coding to 01004 if you have Halogens
Address 09: Cent. Elect. change Coding to 00004 if you have Halogens and no light Sensor*

Address 17: Instruments change coding to 01301 if you have quattro/AWD
Address 17: Instruments change coding to 00301 if you dont have quattro

Address 46: Central Conv. change coding to 11900 should be same

* Light sensor is for automatic dimming mirrors located on the back of the rearview mirror

you should be in km's with day time running lights enabled as well windows up and down with remote function, hope that helps
