Strange Lighting Issue
So... I'll put this in point form for clarity.
2 weeks ago - Left front fog light goes out. No biggie, order up an HID fog light kit.
1.5 weeks ago - Begin getting intermittent headlight level sensor error.
2 days ago - Install "no code" LED licence plate lights. No issues so far.
Tonight - Left rear parking light, brake light are out. Front parking light says it's out but it's actually flashing at a regular rate. Similar to the signal light but at the intensity of a parking light.
Is this all coincidence or is this a symptom of a larger problem, say a relay or controller problem. Will do a Vag-com scan after the Flames game but thought I'd use the intermission to type this out. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Strange Lighting Issue
Update: Vag-com scan shows open circuit faults with the rear lights and fog light so probably just bulbs out? Still mystified by the flashing front park light. Can't think of a cause and the vag-com scan didn't pick it up.

Re: Strange Lighting Issue
Your Audi is losing it because the Flames are going to miss the playoffs. Give it a few weeks and I am sure she will be fine.
I have an 2005 Avant as well and I am having some bulb issues in my tail lights. the right tail light is giving me a error code but it is working fine. I may have to replace the tail lights entirely as they have condensation problems.

Re: Strange Lighting Issue
Funny... I always thought my Audi was a football fan...
Yeah, I hear that about condensation. Pretty much every light assembly on my car is wet inside. Perhaps that's a contributing factor. Anyway, I'm gonna pull the bulbs in the rear (tonight hopefully) and see what the deal is.

Re: Strange Lighting Issue
Bingo! Looks like the moisture in the lens housing has caused the bulb holder to corrode. One of the bulbs even shattered from getting wet I think. Anyone know a good place to buy new taillights for a 2005 A4 Avant?
