Question Online Audi Wheel Companies thoughts GOOD or BAD????

Hi I am shopping for 17 inch rims for my new 2002 Audi A4 3.0. For this summer coming up. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these companies? I have found a few online but have seen very mixed reviews. Here are a few

1. Eurotech Luxury wheels-- have great looking wheels but have found nothing but very negative reviews.

2. Tulip City wheels???

3. OE Wheels in Florida- very mixed bag here about quality

4. Finish Line Wheels

5. LakeShore Wheel and Tire??

6. Tire Rack -- seems most solid company by far, but not all styles like qabove

Just to name a few I have found if anyone has any feedback on who to avoid and who to trust please let me know. I like the look of OEM looking rims too. And if any Canadian suppliers that would be great.

Thanks

Not sure what you're looking for but it may be best to find a nice light used set ...

Bought a set of R8 gunmetal replica wheels from OEWHEELS for my B8 A4. They look great, and the customer service was good, good prices... Only drawback (and it's a big one), they don't know that the 09 B8 hub size is bigger than the B7, so I'm stuck with a set of wheels that won't fit my car without having them milled out.

Posted a new post for some feedback on this, but if anyone's got some it's appreciated.

Too bad about the hub size issue ! A local guy had his milled for $100. so it's not the end of the world but wouldnt OEWHEELS take some responsibility for the error ?

I contacted them, but they flat out refused to help out at all, mostly since I had already mounted tires on to the wheels. They basically stood by their fine print stating it's up to ME to size them to the car, even though they require the exact model year of the car when ordering. Oh well.

I'm guessing you've not had any problems with the wheels since you've had them milled??

I definitely feel your pain with the new sizing on the B8; took me a while just to find winters for mine.

Like steve mentioned, those wheels may still work just fine if you get them drilled/bored. Talk to Allen @ SimplyTire and see if they can do them there; plenty of ppl here will agree that they know their stuff. I got my winters done this way and they fit perfectly.

So I'll guess that getting them bored/milled/drilled is NOT such a bad thing? I've talked with a friend who used to do machining and he advised against. If you guys have done this before and not had problems, then I'll assume it's okay.

Thanks for the info on simplytire. Will give them a call.

As long as the people doing the drilling are reliable and they fit it properly, there shouldn't be a problem. If it's off by even a small little bit, it can be problematic. Just make sure it fits on nice and snug and you should be good-to-go.

I bought Hartmann RS4 reps from Achtuning in Seattle last year and am very happy with them. Actually ordered tires from Tire Rack, tires were shipped to Achtuning, they mounted the tires and then sent them to my door. Very smooth transaction. Would buy from them again.
