I have a problem I cannot push the piston back on the caliper causing me issue to install the new pads.. help i followed all the steps am i missing anything?

I might need to get my caliper replace???

If you're doing the rears don't force it, THEN you'll need to replace it.
The rear brake piston actually needs to be screwed in while pushing it in as it allows the handbrake to self-regulate itself.

You can use the VAG brake tool for this or you can substitute something of your design in a pinch if you don't have/don't want to buy the tool.

yep that is the tool i am using... and yeah i know that it screw in while pushing but it is just not going anywhere....

Did you open up your brake fluid reservoir when trying to screw in the piston?

nope, opened the bleeder which should be the same thing

Bleeder valve is too small to exort that kind of pressure through the valve itself. Open the cap on the reservoir

May also be a good time to bleed the brake system. As most folks know, Audi recommends replacing brake fluid every two years regardless of mileage.

This is not true. Pressure is only generated in a closed system. Once you open the bleeder screw, you will be able to push fluid out as fast as you can mechanically do it. Have you ever performed a two man bleed? What happens when you open the bleeder to bleed? I think a master cylinder can create a lot more pressure than you can with a pair of channelocks on the piston.

To OP, if you are using the proper tool and cannot get the piston in the caliper back in, you need a new caliper. The piston is seized. Try doing the other side to see how much effort you need to get the piston back in (if it isn't seized as well).
